For Commissioners > Setup > Draft Setup > Draft Timer Setup |
These options are only available if your league has defined a MyFantasyLeague.com online draft in General League Setup.
Voice To Use For Audio Clips In Live Draft: - Choose on of the "voices" we offer for announcing names as the players are picked in your live draft, or select "None" if you'd rather not hear these names announced. This option is only displayed if you've selected the "Live Draft" option on the General League Setup page.
Turn Draft Timer - Once the draft start time has been reached, turning this item on will continue your draft. Turning it off will postpone your draft clock, but still allow for manual drafting. Use the 'On, but suspended between x ET and y ET each day' setting to enable the timer by pause it during regular daily intervals (most commonly used to disable during the nighttime hours). You may enable/disable this option while the draft is progressing.
NOTE: Since suspending a draft timer overnight applies to longer-running email drafts, and not live drafts (which are expected to complete within a few hours), enabling the "suspend" timer option will hide the timer display in the live draft room. Also, note that you must turn the draft timer on to allow a predrafted pick 1.01 to be made for an owner when the draft starts. In other words, if the draft timer is off, the system will not automatically make a predrafted pick 1.01 for an owner.
Set Timer To: xx hours and yy minutes - Define the minimum amount of time for each pick.
NOTE: The time selected above is the minimum amount of time that the system will wait before expiring. For example, if you select 12 hours, the system will wait at least 12 hours, but no more than 12 hours and 15 minutes, before expiring. The system will check the status of the draft every 15 minutes, at 15 minutes after the hour, half-past the hour, and 45 minutes after the hour, to see if the timer has expired. When in "Live Draft" mode, the system will check each time a draft update is attempted.
Timer Expired Pick - When the timer has expired for a franchise and no selection has been made, the system can either:
Use 'My Draft List'. Otherwise, skip the pick. Select the highest ranked My Draft List player (if defined). If skipped, the league commissioner may then use the For Commissioners > Setup > Draft Setup > Change Draft Pick screen to pick the appropriate player at the appropriate time to compensate for the skipped pick.
Use 'My Draft List'. Otherwise, allow the system to pick. Select the highest ranked My Draft List player (if defined). If not, the system will automatically pick a player for the owner based the highest ranked available player that still meets the leagues starting lineup minimums according to rankings displayed on the Draft Tracker page.
NOTE: The draft tracker algorithm is explained at the bottom of this page.
Automatically pick for these franchises as soon as they get on the clock - By default the system will wait until the timer expires before using the highest ranked My Draft List player or draft tracker player to make it's selection. If there are one or more owners that will not be present during your draft and you'd like to have the system auto-pick for them as soon as they get on the clock, check the appropriate box for each franchise.
NOTE: The "My Draft List" player listing can be used for an owner's pick before the "Draft Tracker" player listing, allowing an owner who either has had a pick timeout, or, an owner who cannot be present for a draft, to create their own personalized draft list to have the system select from.
When finished, you MUST click on the Save Draft Timer Information button to apply your changes.
