New Features

We've spent a lot of time updating myfantasyleague.com to address many of the features requested by our customers.  While we'll continue to work on new and improved features in the coming months (check back to this page for frequent updates!), the following is a list of some of our 2004 system enhancements to date:

(as of April 30, 2004)

2004 Leagues -

The 2004 leagues are now available. Current customers should use the commissioner home page message to upgrade their 2003 league to a new, 2004 league. New customers can create a new 2004 league. Use the For Commissioners > $$Purchase League$$ menu item to register your league. See our Purchase Page for more ordering information.

(as of April 23, 2004)

Reports -

The reports menu has been re-organized for easier access. A "Fantasy Standings Report" submenu has also been added.

Links -

Most league pages now have a new option under the "This Page" main menu called "Add To My Links" - if you click on that option, the system will add the current page to your "My Links" list under the "Links" main menu item. A corresponding Home Page Module (My Links) has also been added.

Numerous Minor Enhancements -

Several minor enhancement to the system have been added as detailed here.

(as of March 24, 2004)

Reports -

To better use the Draft Report data, filters have been added for player position and franchise.

A commissioner can optionally charge the winning auction bid amount as "real" dollars on the accounting report to the franchise owner who won the auction.

The old "Auction Results" report has been broken out into two separate reports:

  • Auction Results - Summary report gives the summary of all completed and underway auctions for each franchise
  • Auction Results - Details report gives a detailed level (player-by-player) report of all completed auctions. This report has also been upgraded to allow you to sort those results based on Player Name, Winning Bid Amount, Winning Franchise, or Auction Started Time.
The new "Power Rank" report has been added to the Fantasy League Reports menu offering a variety of franchise stats. See Power Rank Details for more information.

Auction Drafts -

The ability to have a "proxy" (or E-Bay style) auction for your draft has been added. Please see Proxy Auction Details for more information.

(as of March 17, 2004)

Scoring -

The ability to define fantasy weekly total scores as a given team's total offensive player score minus their opponent's total defensive player score has been added.

Trades -

Leagues can now trade individual future year draft picks as part of the trading process.

Reports -

The "Future Draft Picks" report has been added for leagues that trade future years' draft picks.

(as of March 10, 2004)

Reports -

The "Standings" report (franchise name & icon) can now be separated into two columns and moved as needed. In addition, 'Offensive Points' and 'Defensive Points' have been added as optional columns of data for the Standings report.

'Players Currently Playing', 'Players Yet To Play', and 'Player Minute Remaining' have all been added to the "Live Scoring" report.

For salary cap leagues, the Rosters report now includes each team's individual salary cap and cap room available totals.

Scoring -

When using the Break Ties, Standings Adjuster, and Score Adjuster screens, the system will automatically update the standings. There's no longer a need to use the Recalculate Results screen for these manual changes.

Waivers -

Three new waiver windows positions have been added for a total of eight to allow for even more flexibility for leagues with complex waiver rules.

System Messages -

This new screen has been added under the 'For Commissioners' menu to better inform league commissioners about system notices. In addition, all notices will be archives to allow commissioners the ability to reveiw them throughout the season.

Private Leagues -

The 'Other Appearance Settings' screen now includes an option to show/hide league reports to guests. If disables, non-league members will only be able to view a league's login and home pages.

Taxi Squad -

Also known as a Practice Squad and a Protected Pool, this enhancement allows each franchise to have a separate list of players on their team, but not on their active roster.

(as of March 3, 2004)

Reports -

A new "NFL Team Stats" report has been added to display a team's weekly and YTD stats.

Thirteen new columns of data have been added to the "Standings" report (nonDiv/nonConf W/L/T/Pct, Points Back, Min/Max Points Against, and Div/Conf Points For).

Scoring -

A home field advantage (HFA) bonus option has been added.

An option to count "Points For" multiple times in multi-game (doubleheader, etc.) weeks has also been added.

For leagues that use the league average calculation, an option has been added to exclude the LA's opponent's score from the LA calculation.

(as of February 25, 2004)

Injury Email -

A new option for both franchises (Advanced Franchise Setup) and commissioners (Commissioner Email Setup), that when checked, well send out an email for each injury report. The email will contain either "No players ..." or a list of a team's current roster appearing or on the report. In addition (for leagues that use a fantasy IR), if an owner has one or more players currently on IR that should not be on IR according to league rules, a warning will be included in the message.

Reports -

For leagues that use IR and have rules regarding what injury status a player must be at when going on IR, the system will now display a warning message on the "Rosters" report if a player is on IR but should not be according to your league rules and his current injury status.

For leagues that use contract information (on the Set Salaries/Contract Setup screen) without using salaries, the system will only display the contract information on the "Rosters" report (it previously reported the salary data too).

A new module, "Weekly MVP Players," has been added to the list of home page setup modules. This module lists the top-scoring player at each position that your league uses for the most recent week of the season.

Salaries/Contracts -

Commissioners may now globally adjust all salaries by a certain percentage and all contracts by a certain amount.

User Interface -

If enabled by the commissioner (Franchise Abilities Setup), owners can define their own, custom home page layout to appear each time they log in with their franchise account.

Custom Players -

Commissioners may now enter up to 35 custom players for their league. Some leagues might want to use these slots for college players, or any other players that we do not have in our database (and are not on any of the NFL team's official 53-man rosters) that an owner in you league would like to acquire.

Player Positions -

Two new player positions are now supported in the Starting Lineups Setup screen:

    Fullback (FB)
    Kick Returner (KR)
League commissioners can now change any player's position as necessary. This feature may be helpful for players who at times line up at different positions.

Automatic Playoff Brackets -

The system can now automatically set up the playoff brackets for eight common combinations of teams & games. You'll still be able to manually adjust if needed, but this should make scheduling the playoffs for most leagues much easier.

(as of February 11, 2004)

Franchise Abilities -

The "Allow Owners With Password Access To:" section has been removed from the "For Commissioners > General League Setup" page, and replaced with the "For Commissioners > Setup > Franchise Abilities Setup" option. This screen will offer commissioners a much more granular control over what tasks owners may or may not have available.

Trades -

Added an option to create a poll once a trade has been accepted (to approve/disprove the trade).

Added an option to create a counter-proposal when rejecting a trade.
